A celebration of materiality through ceramics that hold the stories and textures of place.
By repurposing waste and embracing the raw textures and patterns of forgotten materials, my work aims to reflect a sustainable approach where industry and nature intertwine.
About me
a nipaluna-based ceramic artist, my practice CENTRES on creating work that captures the stories and textures of place. I focus on sustainability by sourcing local rock waste and repurposing natural and industrial byproducts from Hobart’s hospitality scene into unique clay bodies and glazes. My work not only seeks to reduce reliance on commercial raw materials but also aims to spark conversations around sustainable practices, encouraging others to find potential and beauty in the often-overlooked resources around us.
